By accessing or using Rubito, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you should not use the app or related services.
Rubito may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the app or another appropriate channel.
2. Rubito Service
Rubito is a mobile app that helps people learn Japanese and enjoy living in Japan. The app may include lessons, practice tools, learning content, progress features, subscription features, credit-based features, and support experiences.
Rubito is provided for educational and informational purposes. It is not legal, immigration, medical, financial, employment, or other professional advice.
3. Eligibility and Children
Rubito may be used by children under 13, or under the applicable age of digital consent in their country, only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
If you are a parent or guardian and allow a child to use Rubito, you are responsible for the child account, the child's use of the service, and any subscription or credit purchases made through the app store or payment account you control.
Rubito may provide age-aware learning experiences and may limit account features, profile features, social features, advertising, analytics, or other functionality for younger users where appropriate or required by law.
4. Accounts and User Responsibility
You are responsible for the information you provide, your use of the app, and keeping your account access secure. You should not share login credentials or use another person's account without permission.
You agree to use Rubito lawfully and respectfully. You may not misuse the app, attempt to disrupt the service, reverse engineer restricted parts of the service, or use Rubito in a way that harms other users, Rubito, or third parties.
5. Subscriptions
Rubito may offer monthly and yearly subscription plans. Subscription pricing, included features, billing periods, renewal terms, taxes, trials, and cancellation options will be shown in the app or by the applicable app store or payment provider before purchase.
Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date through the platform or payment provider used for the purchase. Deleting the app may not cancel a subscription.
Refunds, cancellations, and billing disputes may be handled by the app store, payment provider, or Rubito depending on where the purchase was made and what applicable law requires.
6. In-App Credits
Rubito may allow users to purchase credits inside the app. Credits are digital items that can be used only for supported Rubito features or content made available in the app.
Credits are not cash, stored value, bank money, or a general payment instrument. Credits cannot be transferred, resold, exchanged outside Rubito, or redeemed for cash except where required by law.
Rubito may change which features use credits, add new credit features, or discontinue credit features. We will take reasonable care not to remove paid value unfairly where a user has already purchased credits.
7. Content and Intellectual Property
Rubito, including its app design, text, learning content, software, branding, logo, and related materials, is owned by Rubito or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may use Rubito for personal learning. You may not copy, distribute, sell, or publicly display Rubito content except as allowed by the app, these terms, or written permission from Rubito.
8. Availability and Changes
We work to keep Rubito useful and available, but the service may change, pause, or become unavailable from time to time for maintenance, updates, security, operational reasons, or circumstances outside our control.
We may add, remove, or modify app features, learning content, subscription benefits, credit features, and pricing as Rubito evolves.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rubito is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every user's specific goals.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rubito and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business opportunities arising from use of the app.
